In honor of Global Handwashing Day 2019, Essity partnered with The Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia to create a fun, educational and interactive handwashing event.
On Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13, 2019, children had fun while learning and exploring the five steps to proper handwashing in an engaging way. Using lotion emulating fake germs, that glows in the dark, children rubbed it on their hands and entered a blacklight tent, to see how their germs can spread. Once they were finished playing in the tent, they then headed to the handwashing station and were given a one-on-one handwashing lesson and a bag with an activity book and a Handwashing Hero pin. Other activities included a “Find where germs hide” decoder game and iPad Kiosks where children could play Tork’s Ella Handwashing Adventure app.
