As we head into the two year anniversary of Handwashing Works on October 15th,2019, we are pleased to introduce two additions to our program – a catchy new jingle, and new activity sheets for students, which will add to the variety currently available on the website.
Essity hosted a national HWW Jingle Challenge geared toward middle school-age students in early 2019, searching for the best jingle that would help children remember the five steps of proper handwashing in a fun and engaging way. The winning jingle was created by three students from Collingswood (NJ) Middle School – Annaliese Holland, Corynn Sehulster and Domenica Thompson. Following the announcement of their selection as the national winner, the three students recorded their jingle which is now available for download for teachers to use as part of their handwashing curriculum.
Annaliese, Corynn and Domenica each received a trophy for their winning jingle, and Essity presented Collingswood Middle School with a $1,500 grant.
